Salary and Bursaries

PRIMARY | SECONDARY | SPECIAL

Assessment Only

Salaries for people wishing to follow the Assessment Only route to QTS are set by the employing school.

School Direct Salaried Programme

Trainees will be paid at the equivalent to point 1 on the unqualified teachers’ pay scale.  For 2018-19 that is a minimum of £17,208 (FTE).  Please be aware that academies and free schools are able to set their own pay scales so the salary may vary between different schools in the same partnership. Please also be aware that the programme is typically 10 months and the accelerated part-time programme is paid at 0.8 as the programme is only 4 days a week.
